Whatever You Think

I’m such a mess
Can you believe it?
It’s true
You might not have known that
Or, maybe you knew

Maybe you figured it out
Right away
Perhaps that’s the reason
You saw me that way
Not an A, but a C
A C-minus at that
I suppose you were right
I suppose I am

I suppose I’m barely
A seven or eight
I might just agree
I’m not that great

But my heart is earnest
My motives are true
Whatever you think of me
I’m always for you
