Sacrificing What’s Not Ours

True friendship is self-sacrificial.

When we sacrifice something belonging to someone else (to our ‘friend’) — that person’s name or reputation; precious memories shared or things told in confidence (i.e., thru gossip) — we’re not acting like a friend to that person. We’re acting like an enemy.

Love covers. Love protects. Because love is self-sacrificial.
